Boom’s Home-ownership Gains Lost


According to this recent Wall Street Journal article, the meltdown of the real estate market has wiped out more homeowners than were created during the 2000-2007 housing boom. During the boom, homeownership rates rose to 69.2% of Americans owned homes. Now, the percentage is 66.5% and is expected to slip below 65%. Read more
